Clogged and dirty fuel filters make it difficult for a fuel pump to supply enough fuel to the engine. Debris or sediment found in fuel is filtered through micron screens preventing any particulates from entering the fuel system. Overtime this build up of particulates impairs the fuel flow and starves the engine for fuel. Replacing this filter will allow engine to run better and more efficiently.
