Originally from the Greek mythology, Pegasus represents power and speed, performance and immortality like no other mythical creature. No wonder, then, that the red winged horse had cult status from the outset and can be found on the vehicles of racing legends and rally drivers as well as Porsche owners and hobby drivers.
The winged horse used to be part of the Mobiloil logo – known today as ExxonMobil after the merger with Exxon. Like every brand, the Pegasus has developed over the years and has been adapted to the zeitgeist. Porsche Tequipment now returns an original version of the Pegasus from Mobiloil as a decal.
Historically correct, the Pegasus is always affixed in the direction of travel and at an angle of -3°. For the driver side, this means: He flies from right to left.
